Design and Deployment of Wi-Fi and Network Infrastructure Using Aruba Solutions

Design and Deployment of Wi-Fi and Network Infrastructure Using Aruba Solutions

Summary

Following a relocation to a new office, Vatag Group set a critical task — to build a reliable, scalable, and secure network infrastructure from scratch, covering both wired and wireless connectivity. The project spanned six floors and included signal coverage design, equipment selection, deployment of Wi-Fi and LAN, configuration of monitoring systems, and full testing.

The Senseti team conducted an on-site audit, developed a network architecture plan, and implemented a solution based on Aruba equipment. Wi-Fi access points were deployed, core and access switches installed, and the Aruba AirWave centralized management system configured. The entire infrastructure underwent stress testing and was handed over fully operational.

As a result, Vatag Group received a robust, production-ready network infrastructure covering the entire office, featuring high fault tolerance, centralized control, and scalability to meet future needs.

Summary -
Yaroslav Ivanov

When moving into our new office, our goal was to launch a fully functioning network from scratch - without any compromises in stability. The Senseti team designed, implemented, and tested everything right on schedule. Wi-Fi now works seamlessly throughout the building, management is centralized, and the network is solid. We’re happy with the outcome and ready to keep growing.

Business Challenge

When relocating to its new headquarters, the Vatag Group IT team faced a critical challenge: to design and deploy a reliable office network from scratch — one that would ensure stable performance for employees across all six floors, including meeting rooms, open-space areas, and technical zones.

Key challenges included:

  1. A complete absence of existing IT infrastructure in the new building
  2. The need for Wi‐Fi coverage without dead zones and with flexible configuration
  3. High requirements for connection stability and security, especially for executive departments
  4. Integration of wired and wireless networks into a unified architecture
  5. A centralized management and monitoring solution that wouldn’t burden the IT team
  6. Tight deployment timeline — the network had to be operational before staff moved in

Solution and Business Value

We designed and deployed a full-scale office IT infrastructure based on Aruba Networks solutions. The project covered every critical stage: from consulting and site assessment to implementation, testing, and handover.

Implemented solutions:
  • Development of an RF plan for the six-story office building
  • Selection and installation of Aruba-based Wi‐Fi access points
  • Installation and configuration of Aruba CX access and core switches
  • Implementation of VLAN segmentation for different user groups and services
  • Deployment of Aruba AirWave for centralized monitoring and management
  • Testing of coverage and connection stability
  • On-site support during the office move-in process
Business value delivered:
  • Reliable network access for employees across all office floors from day one
  • A centralized platform for IT management and monitoring — no need for separate tools
  • Aruba equipment enabled a resilient, scalable network architecture
  • Wi-Fi coverage and performance met corporate standards, critical for meetings and online communication
  • The solution is highly adaptable to changes in user count and device types — including corporate and BYOD endpoints

How the Solution Was Implemented

The Vatag Group project was executed on a tight schedule and in clearly defined stages, taking into account the building’s specifics and the need for uninterrupted office operations.

Stage 1: Consulting and Site Survey

The Senseti team conducted an on-site survey of the office, accounting for architectural features, floor materials, and potential RF interference zones. Based on the findings, an RF plan for Wi‐Fi placement was created.

Stage 2: Network Design

Based on the RF plan, a distributed network architecture was developed:

  • Logical and physical layout of all hardware
  • Traffic segmentation schemes (VLANs)
  • Planning of throughput and switching points
  • Selection of scalable infrastructure solutions
Stage 3: Equipment Delivery and Deployment

Aruba-based infrastructure was deployed:

  • Aruba Instant access points were installed and configured at the cluster level
  • Aruba CX core network was deployed with redundancy
  • Floor-level access switches were installed within the central data center
Stage 4: Centralized Management Setup
  • All components integrated into the Aruba AirWave platform
  • Security, authentication, and access policies were configured
  • Wi‐Fi coverage, speed, and stability were tested
Stage 5: Commissioning
  • Final system testing and optimization were completed
  • Customer IT team was trained
  • Support was provided during office launch
